CAP CITY MISSION STATEMENT

Cap City's mission is to help players improve their individual and team basketball skills in a fun and competitive environment, while helping them develop the lifelong values of teamwork, sportsmanship, an appreciation of hard work, respect for themselves and others, and the ability to overcome adversity.
Our vision is to be one of the top AAU programs in the northeast, providing all players with quality coaching, while maintaining our focus on skill and character development. For our higher skilled players, we compete at some of the top exposure events and national tournaments, continually putting our players in front of college coaches.

Goals

Ensure that all players have a fun and enjoyable experience while helping them develop their basketball skills to the best of their ability.
Provide quality instruction that emphasizes fundamentals and individual skill development, while also teaching players how to play unselfish, team basketball.
Ensure that all players learn to work hard, be excellent teammates and develop good basketball habits.
Provide excellent communication to parents, via our website, social media and direct contact from coaches and the director.
Highlight players’ successes, both on and off the court, via our social media outlets.
Maintain continuity within the program while continuing to develop and expand our experienced and knowledgeable coaching staff.
Prepare players both academically and athletically, so they are ready to advance to the next level of play or stage of their life.
Assist players with the recruiting process for those that are highly skilled and have the ability to play in college, including assisting players with the college application and financial aid processes.
